                    ONE VISION OF WHAT SCIENCE SHOULD BE:

1)  Science would be an open minded contest of ideas.

2)  An exercise of a discipline which clearly separate facts from philosophy.

3)  Scientists free to philosophize as long as that is clearly made distinct from the real and hard science.

4) Science which is open to controversies and which puts forward discrepancies between any theory and hard laboratory facts.

5) Science which is less dogmatic and more open about uncertainties and the limits of science.

6) All science would start with some analysis of the potential impact on society.

7) Science funding would be controlled by citizens outside the profession utilizing information provided by the specific profession and concerned (informed) citizens (including scientists outside the profession.)

8) Study results funded with public funds would be published on the internet in terms understandable by laymen and would separate fact from philosophy and include risk analysis for society of next stage and future research.
