        Noted scientists beliefs in God.

For the opinions of 20 Nobel prize winning scientists on God and science, refer to the book Cosmos Bios and Theos.  Reading this book makes it clear that many of the best scientists believe in God.  Refer to their comments quoted in purple below.

There is a great deal of such support for a belief n God from a very significant number of distinguished scientists.   There follows a number of quotes by such leading scientists (including Nobel prize winners about science, and faith, and God.   This collection is partiallly biased by our selection and does not reflect all noted scientists by any means, but does show that one can certainly be a top scientist and still believe deeply in God.

Cosmos Bios and Theos which questions 60 leading scientists including 20 Nobel prize winners.  In the interview with Sir John Eccles, Nobel Prize winner with a Ph.D. in natural sciences, when he was asked if he believed in a divine Creation said:  Yes I do.  I have said that several times in my books.  And this is a creation.  You have to think of it as not just by a Creator who tosses off souls one after another.  This is a loving Creator giving us all these wonderful gifts.”

From the same book:  Interview with Professor Wolfgang Smith, Ph.D. in mathematics: “nothing is more evident, more certain , than the existence or reality of God”.   This is from a mathematician who is trained in the logic of proofs.

Einstein once said, "I see a pattern, but my imagination cannot picture the maker of that pattern.  I see a clock, but I cannot envision the maker of the clock.  The human mind is unable to conceive of four dimensions, so it unable to fully conceive of God."   Even Einstein realized that God is beyond science.. Even Einstein could not explain away God.

Noted physicists P. Davies says about the study of science "One is inevitably led away from the material and the physical to the realm of the mystical and the abstract. Concepts like "logic," "number," "soul," and "God" recur throughout history as the firmest ground on which to build a picture of reality that has any hope of permanent dependability."

A belief in God is not rare among scientists, even great scientists.

The author of one of the main evolution textbooks no longer believes that it can explain the origin of life!

One of many examples of other scientists questioning the doctrine of macro evolution.

A list of scientists who question Darwinism as the full explanation for the evolution of life.

An excellent video tape of scientists questioning macroevolution as shown on PBS.

Science cannot provide all the answers. Why so many scientists believe in God.

We also recommend the book; "The Case For A Creator" by L. Strobel, which contains conversations with scientists..

Scientists' belief in God varies by discipline; Study debunks notion that science is incompatible with religion.  (Half way down page.)  Note that it is true that the science organization leaders are much more in the atheistic column than the typical scientist.  Atheists are in the process of taking over the science organizations.  The scientific evidence is, in actuality, however, growing more and more in support of a belief in God.
