| The Truth About Science
The truths and limits of science are being lost in the perversion of science by monetary, personal career and atheistic interests. We will provide some light on the truths and limits of hard science fact as seen from the perspective of a belief in God, without proselytizing.
Physicists Max Plank said, "Over the entrance to the gates to the temple of science are written the words;
Ye Must Have Faith." The question we all must answer is faith in whom: fallible/biased scientists or God?
"If there ever was a misnomer, it's 'exact science.' " -Physicist Edward Teller
"Our society must retain its moral vision if we are to make good decisions in directing science. Science alone provides no vision." -Albert Einstein
"Scientific knowledge is a body of statements of varying degrees of certainty—some most unsure, some nearly sure, none absolutely certain." -Nobel prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman
"All physical theories... ought to lend themselves to so simple a description that even a child could understand them." -Albert Einstein
"No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong."
-Albert Einstein
"Science cannot be regarded as a thing apart to be studied or ignored; it is a vital part of our culture."
-W.S. Beck
"Our science has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men."
-Martin Luther King
"I maintain that cosmic religiousness is the strongest and most noble driving force of scientific research."
-Albert Einstein
"Why does this magnificent applied science which saves work and makes life easier bring us so little happiness?" -Albert Einstein
"If we could first know where we are, and wither we are tending, we could better judge what to do, and how to do it." -Abraham lincoln
Mathematician and Philosopher Alfred North Whitehead said: "If science is not to degenerate into a medley of ad hoc hypotheses, it must become philosophical and must enter upon a thorough criticism of its own foundations."
Sadly, science is not doing much self-criticism and the citizenry must see to it that it does. "Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe—a spirit vastly superior to that of man." -Albert Einstein (We would qualify this today as "everyone with an open mind.")
"Humanity has every reason to place the proclaimers of high moral standards and values above the discovers of objective truth." -Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein also recognized the limits of human intellect when he said "The scientist is possessed by a sense of universal causation...his religious feeling takes the form of a rapturous amazement at the harmony
of natural law, which reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection. It is beyond question closely akin to that which has possessed the religious geniuses of all ages." Science Quotes : "Science Says" By R. Kaplan

More public input means better science. Quote resources include: "Scientifically Speaking" by Gaither and "Quotable Einstein" by Calaprice. Both books are highly recommended.
